All of this music is about "One Thing"......love. It is this dance that we do with our lives and with each other that keeps me happy and fills my heart with joy. "Love is life" was written in a few minutes span on what would have been John Lennon's 65th birthday while "just imagine that" emerged after singing "Imagine", so they are both tributes to John Lennon. Thanks for the inspiration that my friends and family provide, and for sharing this music that dances with my soul!

             Darren Ivey, Drummer/Percussionist and
                 co-writer of "Never"
This CD chronicles the events of the 2003-2005 as the two men experience a spiritual rebirth. While Russell restores a historic house in central Austin, both experience a healing through music. This music is written and played on the mandocello (regarded as the instrument of the angels) with a host of Austin musicians. It is also Russell's first album release after more than 25 years of writing and singing.
